Pontiac Trans Sport Montana. Need help removing battery.

I recently acquired and 98' Pontiac Trans Sport Montana from a friend. It is in good condition except that it needs a new battery. I managed to removed the support bar and fuse box on top of the battery, but when I tried to take the old battery itself out, it wouldn't budge. I can't even tell where it's connected at. Can anyone give me instructions on how I'm supposed to take out this battery?

  1. Remove the accessory wiring junction block bolt.
  2. Remove the accessory wiring junction block from the front end sheet metal diagonal brace.
  3. Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace.
BEFORE you take off the negative battery cable
  1. Record all of the vehicle preset radio stations (if applicable). Refer to Radio Operating Instructions in Audio Systems.
  2. Record the customer's radio Theftlock(R) code (if applicable). Refer to Theft Deterrent Feature in Audio Systems.
  3. Turn OFF all the lamps and accessories.
  4. Make sure the ignition switch is OFF.
  5. Remove the battery ground (negative) cable with the battery ground (negative) terminal bolt from the battery.
AND THEN:
  1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable
  2. Disconnect the battery (positive) cable.
  3. Remove the battery hold down retainer. IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.
  4. Remove the battery.
  5. Remove the battery insulator from the battery.
