    Should come right out. The retainer bolt threads must be stripped (whoever put the last battery in?) Anyway, you might try gentle levering of the retainer as you unscrew the bolt (pry it up in other words)--but be very careful not to put too much leverage on it.


    Also don't tilt the battery more than 45 degrees when you take it out.

    Thanks.
    Had to drill the head off the bolt. Then center drilled the sub of what was left and tapped it for a 1/4 -20 screw. A little McGiver repair..
