Power brakes on a Chevy Nova?

i got a 1971 nova with no power brakes can i put a power booster on the car and use the same master cylinder

I don't think so. You should contact one of the specialty vendors of classic Chevy parts, listed in Hemmings Motor News, and find out about power brake conversion kits.

You'd really want to consider adding disc brakes if you are going to go to all this trouble.

You can buy a power booster/master cylinder on Ebay for around $150. I would suggest if you are going to upgrade to power brakes you also buy a front wheel disc brake kit for about $500. It will make a huge improvement in stopping power and these kits are readily available on Ebay. If you prefer, go to www.yearone.com website which has everything you need for a brake upgrade or any other parts for 60s GM cars.
