Hi Guys

I stay in Santa Clara-CA and planning to buy 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5S with Convenice pakcage,Convenience Plus Package,SL Package,Connection Package,MATs without hook and Splash Guards i.e fully loaded except GPS.

The price given by the dealer was : 25,898 + Fees(Tax and etc) and finally he is agreed to sell @ 24,500$ + Tax.

Is it a good deal or bad? Please suggest me.

Thanks
Bharat

http://www.edmunds.com/zipcode/new/index.html - go here to Edmunds and pick the options for your chosen car and see their TMV or real-world price. You'll be able to see how your price compares to the pricing in your area.

You should go buy this car right now. Invoice is $25,348.00.... Minus $500 rebate you are $348 under invoice! Yes very good deal. I would go buy it before the dealer changes there mind.

Is there a rebate on this because the base has a invoice of 18,620 so if this one has leather and some bells and whistles on it i would say they can come down to at least 23,000 + tax so if you can walk out with it for 24,500 out the door thats a good DEAL. Just to let you know you could add leather after market for about $1200.00 so if you buy a base 2.5s for 18,620 and add the leather later you could save $$$. We just bought a 08 Nissan Armada SE without leather and added a two-tone for $1350.00 . we paid $19,000 for it and it was used with12000 miles on it. Now we have a LE Model without Paying the LE price.Just to get you thinking. i hope this helps. P.S . Sometimes aftermarket leather is better than factory. Our leather came with a 10 year warranty on stitching and wear . not abuse.

Correct me if im wrong but it looks like your MSRP is $27,435

2009 Nissan Altima 2.5 S 4dr Sedan 2.5L 4cyl CVT ($21,540)

Destination Charge ($695)

Options
SL Package ($1,460)
Floor/Trunk Mat Set w/o Trunk Hooks ($175)
Connection Package ($1,240)
Convenience Plus Package ($1,100)
Convenience Package ($1,050)
Floor/Trunk Mat Set w/o Trunk Hooks ($175)

According to:

http://www.autobrag.com/search/2009/nissan/altima.cfm

which tracks sales prices, across all trims of the 2009 Nissan Altima:

The sales average discount is $3,030.25 or 12.28 % below MSRP

The best discount is $6,597.00 or 23.38 % below MSRP

The average sales price is $21,717.52

This would be the average deal you should expect to get given that the 09 altima sells on average for 12.28% below MSRP: $27,435 * (1% - .1228%) = $24,065.98

Which means you are getting a below average deal even at the offer price of $24,500. I would walk away.

For instance: http://tysonsnissan.com/New-Inventory.aspx?InventoryId=26485559

Tyson Nissan in Virgina is selling a fully loaded coupe for $21,623.00 which has an MSRP of $28,220.0 and is 23.38% below MSRP

Another: http://www.gunnnissan.com/search/display.php?stockno=N90332&storeid=6

Gunn Nissan in Texas is selling a fully loaded sedan for $23,533 which has an MSRP of $28,254 and is 16.71% below MSRP

Autobrag also allows car buyers to anonymously make offers to
dealerships within an area defined by the buyer so you can hopefully
get the same deal locally
