    Check the ignition switch. When you next get the horn failure try wiggling the key in the ignition switch and see if the horn comes back. If so the problem is the ground on the ignition switch. The horn switch usually gets its ground from the steering wheel, which is grounded via the steering shaft. The steering shaft itself is usually grounded by the ignition switch. If the ignition switch has a faulty ground it may be causing the horn failure.
