    Before you do anything check the interior light fuses in the cabin fuse box. Even if the fuse looks good try changing it or cleaning the metal posts with steel wool. Most of the problems like this on older JGCs are caused by bad connections on the block on the firewall behind the engine. The terminals in the connection block are very very small and fail to connect well. Your problem may be related to this. In any event, if it is not the fuse you have a wiring problem and you're going to have to trace it down with a multimeter wire by wire. With so many things mentioned I tend to think it is a bad ground so check the ground wires first from the fuse box to the end connection.
