Road hazard insurance for RFT tires? BMW 328I.

Purchasing a 2007 328I coupe w/ RFT. Does the road hazard insurance that covers rims and tires a good investment? 3 years/$888.

You could insure yourself better, and cheaper, IMO, by buying the same wheel & tire on ebay, or tirerack, and keeping it at home in case its needed. I'd rather have the peace of mind that comes from knowing that I have that new wheel & tire rather than some piece of paper. I keep full size spares at 1/2 inflation pressure, inside, in the dark, covered, and sprayed with 303 Aerospace Protectant. That works for me.
