Rover steering problem

i have a rover,and it has just started to make a funny noice when i turn the car it is not a banging noice ,its like a high piched noice,it does not do it all the time...

It sounds like your steering pump belt is slipping. This is an easy and simple repair. Just have your mechanic check the tension and retighten it to specification or replace the belt if it is worn or fraying. Good luck!

If its a high pitched squeal it could be the belt. I would also have your wheel bearings and drive axle joints checked.LMS
