    Usually inverters have thier own fuses that will blow if you put too much of a load on the inverter,,then again, if you make a habit of overloading the inverter you could of damaged the circuit for the auxillary outlet and overloaded the cars circuit and it that case you may have melted a wire or burned out a relay.

    Very often the inverters have plug-ins that aren't quite the right fit. So we yank out the inverters and this pulls the wire out of the back of the power outlet socket. Common issue if your power outlet socket is even a little bit loose and popping out slightly.
