Toyota Highlander 2001 a/c problems. Can't get the heat or a/c.

The dial doesn't seem to work. I put it on hot and cold air will come out, etc. The dealership says it isn't the dial, but the whole unit needs replaced for $700!

This is common, and the solution is usually pretty simple. Check out the information at the following link: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/hi...

The first time I had problems with my 2002 I was able to get it working again by just tighting the nut behind the temp knob, but that was a temp soulution as it lasted only about 3 months, I then pulled the unit and replaced the little broken wire, the sytem is still working great 1 year later.
