Transmission problems 96 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4x4 AT.
i towed my pathfinder from st. catherines to brantford on. about 70 to 80 kms without 4x4 shifter in neutral now it wont go into reverse and 1st gear it wont move it seems like it is under pressure in every gear i had a friend tell me it might have just burnt out the pump do you think i might be able to rebuild it or do i have to change it

Unfortunately an AWD automatic vehicle can never be towed with any of the wheels on the ground. and an AWD manual transmission car can only be towed with the transmission in neutral AND all 4 wheels on the ground. In your case, I suspect some major damage was done if you went 80 Km. The only way to know is to have a qualified mechanic check the tranny for how much damage was done. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
