Trying to figure out PO301 code. (Engine Indicator Lights)

wade11	Trying to figure out PO301 code. I got the car not running. Ended up being the broken timing chain. Engine starts, rough idle. Smoothes out about 1500 rpm, starts to miss at 4000 rpm and can't rev any higher. I had the coil pack/ ignition module checked at Autozone. New plugs, wires, throttle position sensor, cyl. 1 fuel injector, fuel filter. Found a sheet in the glove box from another code reading. It was random misfire, PO300. Not sure when this was read. Any help out there? Oh yea, the MIL is flashing.

What vehicle?
PO300 and PO301 Is random misfiring and misfiring in cylinder#1.
Could be various things to check (you already did the plugs, wires, TPS, injector did you check the electrical connection on the injector too?, etc..)
I'd check:
timing again;
egr valve and transducer
IAT
Fuel pressure
all vacuum hoses and connections
compression check too
pcv valve (doubt it but...)

Just repaired my dad's Prizm with the same codes plus P0304. His was because he washed the engine and water got into the wire connections (gave it new plugs and wires, needed them anyway, and cleared all codes)
