alex165	What can I do to fix the problem on my 2000 Honda Accord v6? When I connect the scanner it says vtec failure system? When I'm hitting 60 and vtec opens, my vtec doesn't want to open. When that happens my check engine light turns on. When I connect the scanner it says vtec failure system. What can it be?

You could be low on oil! Check to see if you are 1 quart or more down--if so, the CEL will go on and it will throw a 1259 code

Also, the VTec pressure switch could be bad--needs to be tested

Also, the Vtec solenoid valve could be bad

last of all and least likely, a bad ECM.
