What should be added over TMV to get an "out the door" cost? Tax, title, small doc fee? What about "Dealer fee?"
Dealers in my area are showing "best" prices not so far off TMV. However, they then add a dealer fee ($400 to $500). Is that just padded profit? Shouldn't this really only be $100 for document prep?

any dealer fee over 100.00 and you should wear a sucker hat. either tell them to discount the car more or give you more for your trade or lower the fee or you will go somewhere else and that usually works. remember it is a buyers market now not a sellers market.
