The three main problems that manifest themselves with a manual transmission clutch is:1. Clutch begins to slip in gear which is a symptom of the clutch plate wearing out.2. Clutch engages or disengages in a jerky manner which is a symptom of a sticking throw out bearing or broken fingers on the pressure plate.3. Clutch does not engage when you press the pedal which is a symptom of the clutch master cylinder failure or low fluid condition. The clutch system is so simple that there are not many other problems that occur.
