What can a person do if a dealer charges more for doc fees than the state allows?
I live in Ohio, where a dealer wants to charge me $500.00 for Doc fees. I believe the fees have a max of $250.00 in Ohio.

According to the chart http://www.edmunds.com/advice/buying/art... the doc fee is capped at $250 in Ohio. The Office of the Ohio State Attorney General is the place to call. Here is a list of the regional offices and phone numbers http://www.ag.state.oh.us/contact/region... They will be able to tell you if the cap has changed and if not, what actions you can take.
