What diesel cars/wagons are for sale in the US?

What diesel cars or wagons (not trucks or cargo vans) are available in the US? I hear diesels are cleaner now than they used to be.

You can find the list of diesels by clicking New Cars and then Diesels. The page sorts the 45 vehicles available by type (SUV, Truck, Sedan, Wagon, etc.) and price.

currently, the only diesel car for sale is the Mercedes Benz E320CDI diesel. Technically, the mercedes benz Rclass is a tourer or wagon and it uses the same engine as the E320CDI. Same with the Jeep Grand Cherokee, mercedes GL320CDI, and ML320CDI.

In a few months, Vw will be offering the Jetta in sedan and wagon with a TDI diesel engine again but with 140hp and 240lbs ft. Vw may offer that same engine in their upcoming Tiguan CUV.

Honda within a year or so will offer their 2.2l ICTDI diesel engine in the us that can be used in any car that currently has the K24(2.4l I4:Crv, TSX, Element, Accord). Honda is working on a v6 diesel for the largers SUVs, truck, and minivan.

Soon, BMW will show off their new 335d twin turbodiesel engine that they've cleaned up and will offer in the USA in potentially every vehicle(X3,X5,X6,1,3,5,).

Over the next few years, many more diesels will start popping up!
