What do you do about repeat auto vandalism?

My car was broken into twice in the last week! Good thing I bought The Club after the first attempt. What do you think are the best options for this type of crime? It's been suggested to me to get a car alarm and/or kill switch -- what do you think would be most effective? I don't want to keep having to pay to fix my door locks!!!

Leave the doors unlocked!

Actually, I'm not real sure. Alarms just seem to be ignored, but the kill switch might be a better option. Are they trying to steal your vehicle or what's inside of it?

If this has happened to you, it has no doubt happened to others in your neighborhood. You may need to form a neighborhood watch group, meet with the police, and find the culprits. These are usually crimes of opportunity, not "cased crimes", where strangers to the neighborhood just wander around looking for stuff.

What is so attractive about your car anyway, do you think, and can you eliminate that? Do you leave CDs in plain sight, etc.?

Anyway, I think alarms are useless. They only go off after the window is broken, so now you have a broken window and a $400 useless alarm going off and waking up the neighbors.

Well, after the 3rd attempt... I am going with a car alarm in addition to the club. I hope the noise will keep them from doing much damage to my car!
