What does it mean if the lights on my dashboard are going really really dim?
Why are the dashboard lights in my car so dim, seems to have happened suddenly?

There are usually a few different options here:1) You've turned the lights down for your dashboard lights (check this first, there is usually a dial where you can turn them up or down, making them brighter or dimmer)2) Your alternator is going bad3) Your battery is dead
