It is was it is. Maint. timing belt 30,60,90 k service. Doesn't mean much. I believe, if memory serves, on the back of the instrument cluster, next to the speedometer their is a button you push to turn it out
Unlike newer cars, this one is tripped by the odometer. Did you just pass some 30 or 60K odometer interval? Its a maintenance reminder light, not a sensor light. The reset button is tiny and behind the guage cluster.
Maintenance required means just that. Now, what is required depends on the mileage. It could be as simple as an oil and filter change or as complex as a timing belt or other engine or transmission part replacement. You need to check the edmunds maintenance section on this site and see what is necessary at the mileage you're at.
