What grade of gasoline should you use in a Chrysler PT Cruiser turbo?

My brother-in-law has PT turbo and uses only premuim gasoline. Is this necessary?

In Fuel Type / Drivetrain > Gasoline > Octane Rating
In Makes & Models > Chrysler > PT Cruiser

I belive so, your owners manuel will tell what grade to use. Turbocharged engines useally require a higher grade gasoline.

previously owned a 1991 Mazda MX-6 GT and a 1998 Eagle Talon TSI-AWD, both bought new. When we sold them, the mazda had 250,000 and the eagle had 110,000 miles. The both had the original turbo, engine, transmission and clutch and ran excellent. Used regular gas- no problems.
