  Edit Answer (for another -15 minute) The smart is a bit over 1800 pounds, and a base model Yaris hatchback is just over 2200 pounds. The Fit is upwards of 2400. If you're willing to buy used and deal with the repairs and maintenance, a base model Geo Metro hatchback is a bit lighter than the smart. (1)(0) Report It
