    the tcc solenoid is the torque converter clutch solenoid it is used to apply the the torque converter at cruising speeds it creates a 1 to 1 ratio between the transmission and the engine to increase gas mileage and engine to drop the rpms of the engine,and also keeps the trans cooler,the tcc solenoid is controled by the computer in later model vehicles in older model vehicles the the torque converter is contolled by pressure switches in the valve body.what year make and model vehicle are you asking about
