Because you are looking at different years (2002 v. 2004) it's a bit tougher to do the apple-to-apple comparison. In general, one is the same version of the other, just a different badget.

Here's where I would start looking in order to learn more about the options, pricing and also how people who have owned either vehicle rated them.

2004 GMC 1500 consumer reviews
http://www.edmunds.com/gmc/sierra1500/2004/consumerreview.html

2002 Silverado 1500 consumer reviews
http://www.edmunds.com/chevrolet/silverado1500/2002/consumerreview.html

On both of the above you can filter by the exact trim/style by selecting from the pulldown menu of "Read consumer reviews of a specific style"

Also, if you select the Ratings & Reviews tab you can choose to read the Edmunds' Editors Review and Rating of each truck.

Next I would run the appraisal numbers starting here http://www.edmunds.com/tmv/used/index.ht...

By following the steps it will give you what the private party price is for each truck based on mileage, condition, etc.

C is two wheel drive
K is four wheel drive
"Silverado" used to be the trim package but was used as the model name for the GMT 800 trucks.
Note that sellers don't really understand their own vehicle sometimes or they just see what other people do when listing their vehicle.

The CK designation was stopped being used as of 1999 with the truck being referred to as Silverado 2WD or 4WD and the introduction of the GMT 800 platform. The CK designation is used for trucks pre-1999 and if so used on ebay to describe trucks after 1999 being done so by an uninformed seller.
