    I don't think you have any affordable options here, and the project doesn't sound like a good idea. You'd be way better off buying a used Isuzu engine if yours is no good.


    I mean, you can put ANY engine in ANY truck if you have the money and the skill, but I can't think of anything that would bolt up---even if there were such an engine, you'd have to sort out the electronics to "mate" the new engine to the car's computer.

    Given the low value of these trucks, I'm just thinking it's not worth it--I don't wish to be discouraging, but you're looking at a great deal of work with very little, if any, payoff.

    If you are determined to do it, then be prepared for a lot of custom fabrication.
