It should work just fine in Saudi Arabia so maybe you need to order a new DVD from Toyota as your may have been corrupted. I used one in Kuwait and Abu Dhabi with no problems. If the system is the problem I suggest you just use an aftermarket portable unit from Garmin or Magellan. You can buy them at the Jarir bookstores there but they are about twice as much as buying them here in the US. If Jarir is too expensive, buying the GPS system online will be a cheaper alternative. Most GPS companies have maps for many regions in the world, so when buying the unit, specify that you want the maps of the Gulf region. The GPS doesn’t have to be installed in the car, and the person doesn’t have to buy it from Jarir. Most cell phones have GPS system built-in. Phones like the Nokia E90, N82, N95, 6110 Navigator etc. and newer phone like the Nokia e71, e66, N96, N78 and 6120 Navigator. Also in other 3g Nokia phones, you can install the Nokia maps, buy just a GPS receiver , and it’ll work. If the Built-in GPS receiver does not pick up signals accurately, always buying a separate GPS receiver is an option. Good luck!
