What is a "port charge"?
My dealer added a charge of $195 in figuring his invoice. We agreed on a set price over invoice but I cannot find listed on any "sites" including Edmunds a listing for "port charge." What is it?

It supposedly is some fee for the delivery at the port of entry but it is really just a bogus add-on in hopes you'll confuse it with the legitimate "delivery charge" and not question it. Since you already factored delivery in, there is no reason for a seperate "port charge".

Its already included in the freight charge. If the dealer insists that its legit, calmly inform him that you'll pay it when he shows you his bill for the charge from the port. Its a creative invoicing charge.

It is the type of wine the dealer is going to buy with your $195. Tell him no thanks.
