donnala	What would cause rough idling? Chrysler PT Cruiser. I have a 2006 PT Cruiser. The last 2 days it is idling really rough when stopped, having a foot on the brake and in park. It feels like it will just quit-like it's having a heart attack.

This could be caused by many different things; the most likely would be that one or more spark plugs have stopped firing; either because they have failed from age (meaning that all the spark plugs should be replaced), or there is a problem with the ignition coil or plug wires. A vacuum line which has come off or broken would also cause such a problem.

the pt cruisers hav coil and spark plug issues i would start there
