    It probably went to the TCM on the old auto transmission that was in there. Since you have a manual in there now, you don't need that sensor so just wrap it up against the wiring harness and forget about it.

    As a follow-up, the truck has always had a 5-speed manual transmission. Is it possible that the original wiring harness was made to accommodate either a manual or automatic transmission, and that particular lead was only connected if the truck came with an automatic?
