    I suspect you have a bad oil pressure sending unit. These GM units tend to go bad quite frequently. The unit is not expensive and screws right into the engine block. Consequently, I would have it replaced before you spend any serious money on it. Good luck!

    Also a stuck oil pressure relief valve could do this. Try the sender first, then explore the relief valve problem.
