When does Edmunds recommend changing the timing belt on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma v6 4X4? Toyota says 90,000 miles.

When does Edmunds recommend that I change the timing belt on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 V6 with automatic transmission? Toyota says to change it at 90,000 miles. Thanks, GRatliff

We had a similar problem with older Sequoias a couple of weeks ago where the timing belt interval was left off the maintenance schedules. Go with your manual. It's 90,000 for the Sequoia of that era btw.

Gates also says it's 90,000 miles.

While you're in there, you may want to change the timing belt tensioner and water pump (if connected to the timing belt) as well.
