In skimming the GX 470 discussions at CarSpace, I've noticed a rumor or two saying that Lexus will update the GX 470 for 2009. No one knows whether any changes will be mostly superficial or if the '09 will be a major update. After 6 years, you'd think Lexus would do a major update. People expected the LX 570 a model year earlier though.

The GX470 shares a platform and some engineering with the 4Runner, so I'll venture a guess that a 4Runner refresh may signal an update for the GX as well. The 4Runner was last overhauled in 2003, and the GX was new that year, I think, so we're about due!
