Where is the block heater cord for a 2007 Chevy Equinox?

Bought my Equinox new in 07, have an attached garage and had no need to plug it in until this winter as I am moving. I have looked EVERYWHERE for the cord and cannot find it coiled up anywhere. Have info sheet on car and states that it comes with a thermostatically controlled engine block heater as a standard feature! Any ideas as to where to look that I may be missing? I went under the car as well to no avail so far.

the cord plugs comes out of the block heater, which appears to be right next to the exhaust manifold exit pipe, just below the spark plugs.
