Where do you find the coolant sensor in a Pontiac Aztek?
I saw your answer on the car - too hot won't start problem with the Aztek and go figure, my car was running real hot today and did the same thing. So what you say seems to make a lot of sense. I have a 2004 Aztek. Just wondering where is that sensor and how hard is it to replace? Thanks in advance .

I believe there are two temperature sensors for the vehicle, one that tells the computer what the temperature of the engine is and one that tells the fans for the radiator to turn on. On the 3.1L V6, the location for this first sensor is next to the ignition control module and the second one is somewhere on the radiator. These are screw-in sensors so they are pretty easy to replace. I suggest you invest 20 bucks in a Haynes manual before doing repairs on your car. It pays for itself in the first repair and is available at most auto parts stores. Good luck!
