    I'm having the same problem on my Dakota again.On my truck the resistor block is in the heater ductwork directly under glovebox door. there is a square slot going up into the ductwork and in that slot is the resistor block held in with 2 screws. Yours may be similar. The wires are exposed and held on to block with a connector. I've replaced mine twice and it's failed again. methinks it may be the connector as the last block showed a couple of burns as if it got hot from electrical arcing.By the way it controls the speed of the fan by routing current through resistors and they do fail which could give you less speeds or none.
