    The plugs are recessed into the cylinder head. To access them you need to remove the 4 spark plug boots that sit atop the engine where the plug wires go in. Normally, these boots are removed by twisting and pulling them straight out. If you plan to do this type of work on your car, do yourself a favor and get a Haynes or Chilton repair manual for 25 bucks at your local auto parts store or online through Sears website. These manuals will have pictures and step-by-step instructions that will save you a lot of time and money and help you keep from damaging fragile parts or doing more harm than good. Just on this job, doing it yourself will save you $60-80, so use part of the savings to get a good manual. Good luck!
