There is really no one right answer here. Volvos are known for there safety. there are many things a person can do to increase his/her safety in adverse conditions. For example something as simple as making sure your tire pressure is appropriate-look in the door frame and it will tell you the cold tire pressure that is what the tires should be inflated to. Also - proper wet weather and if conditions are appropriate snow tires. Be sure to get a car with traction control and vehicle stability control and an electronically controlled transmission that you can set for snowy or wet conditions. Of course a car is only as safe as its driver take it easy out there.
