    Well, hopefully there's a competent repair shop in your area that could do a computer scan and come up with an error code to give us more hints.

    Very often it could be something simple, like a seat belt buckle sensor (often requiring replacement of the entire latch where it bolts to the floor) or it could be an air bag sensor in the bumper, etc.

    A scanner should reveal an approximate cause. Sometimes you can get a free scan at Autozone or OReilly auto parts.
