Why does your car insurance increase when you remove a car from the policy?
My car insurance premium increased when I dropped one car from the 3 cars that are insured on this policy. Shouldn't the premium be less, not more ?

That would depend on what's left rather than what's gone. If the value of the third vehicle is substantially less than the other two your policy has a good probability of seeing increased premiums as the "risk" is no longer divided among three versus an expensive two.A good example is if you had an old Mazda protege and a vette. If you sold the Mazda you'd be surprised how much your premium would increase having a vette as an only and daily driver. Even if its ten years old.
