drdon57	Why does my 99 Chevy Suburban bog down on acceleration from a stop and drops power going up hill? 1999 chevy suburban 2500. on acceleration from a stop it bogs down until i ease off the pedal and let it slowly build speed and power. i cannot punch it or it will bog and back fire. going up hill it looses power as well. it doesn't do this always but it does it most of the time. earlier this year i replaced the fuel pump and today i had both cat coverters replaced (mechanic recommened)and still have the problem. any sugestions? thanks don

It does sound like a fuel delivery problem. I assume you changed the fuel filter when you did the new fuel pump right? If so, have the fuel pressure regulator checked as it may be malfunctioning and not maintaining propper fuel rail pressure. It is easy to check and inexpensive to replace.
