Why do door locks lock and unlock by themselves? Chrysler PT Cruiser.

electronic door locks have a mind of their own - doors will lock and unlock while sitting in driveway and sometimes while driving pt cruiser

First thing I'd check is if your remote key fob is being accidentally activated while in your pocket.  Past that, the locks operate on a radio frequency.  While unlikely, there could be an electrical apparatus nearby that's operating on the same frequency.


Checking that, I'd say it's time to go to the dealer to see if their is some sort of electrical "glitch".

My Nissan minivan's doors did that when it was newer. Turned out to be a problem with the actuators. I don't know how you'd test them - mine were covered under warranty and the dealer just replaced them and they never acted up again.
