Wiring question, power outlets, VW GTI.

I've noticed that the 12v power outlets in my '08 GTI are
'switched' coming on and off with the ignition. Is there any
way to wire the outlets to a permanent 'on' source?

In Makes & Models > Volkswagen > GTI
In Maintenance & Repair > Electrical > Wiring

Edit Answer (for another -9 minute)

You would have to run a wire to the battery, then connect that to the outlet.
