Would the TMV be different if the dealer does not have a vehicle on the lot and I order what I want from the fact.
The options that I want are not available on the cars at the dealer. I will have to order. Will the TMV change?

In my opinion it should be less for two reasons. The dealer does not have to pay floor plan interest on a car that's not on his lot, but that depends on the dealer since he is paying interest on the cars he does have which you don't want. Perhaps more important is the fact that the car is depreciating as the next model year approaches and you are waiting for the car. You should in my opinion get some credit for that depreciation. Don't forget that TMV is basically only an average. Just make an offer close to invoice or below. If you don't like the price find another dealer. Use the internet to check inventory of other dealers who may have exactly what you want and go there first. Don't do a dealer swap. You'll usually get a better price from the dealer who actually has the car.

If it's a rare vehicle, then expect to pay more. If it's a volume vehicle, then I agree with above poster. You should expect to pay the same or less. He speaks the truth. Good luck!

Most dealers can locate the vehicle you want, rather than do a factory order. Everybody knows this!
