Are you having major problems with the ABS system? and if so, what are the problems?

Can't imagine how switching out an ABS system would be a job that a do-it yourselfer would successfully and seamlessly achieve, and then you'd have a vehicle that you would have to disclose the modification at sale time....IF...you could ever sell it.
