There is a bolt under a circular cover in the boot lining close to the rear light cluster. Remove it using an 8mm socket. It can be a little tough to remove once it's unbolted so a pair of needle nosed pliers may come in handy. Once removed the entire rear light cluster can be extracted from the exterior of the car and the lamp holder simply unclips from the cluster. Typical A4 overengineering! Nothing is easy to replace on this car. Good luck!
