I just replaced the air pump and battery, now my GMC Envoy stalls when air is turned on and truck is idle. Why?

My air conditioner was working fine until I had my Envoy serviced to replace an air pump, solenoid and gasket. They also replaced my battery. When leaving the shop I turned on my air conditioner and the truck appears to be lacking power and my rpm fluctuates, beginning to stall when I am sitting idle. What could cause this to happen and how can it be fixed?
