joe206	My Chrysler 300 has a V6 and it's making a clicking/ticking noise like it has a lifter or a valve problem. i have a 2006 300 touring with a V6 and its making a crazy ticking/clicking noise like a lifter or valve is bad or bent??? i don't know a lot about motors but i do know it don't sound good! has anyone had or heard of this problem it just happened all of a sudden the other day and it only has 50,000 miles on it. thanks..

This is a common problem with this engine. It is operating as designed and nothing can be done to repair this issue. The lifters are the culprits and even replacing them will not eliminate the problem for very long. I have heard many complaints on this and there are no bulletins fromthe manufacturer that I can find. You can try a slightly heavier weight oil to reduce the noise, but there is no permanent cure that I know of. Good luck!
