renewing and flushing old coolant,bought G 05 red says for volkswagen,its ok to use?

having flush of old coolant,says G5 is for volkswagen,is this correct? Have 1995 golf 111

Here's what's recommended. The website has a toll free number if you want to check on the proper coolant. G5 is a VW coolant but they make other "G" specs as well (I think it varies according to the additivess they put it).

Hope this helps somewhat. I guess you don't have your owner's manual anymore?

I'm not sure about older models, but MKIV (1999.5) and up all use G12.
