reply to your questions about my 1995 gmc sierra

New to this site...not sure how to post a reply.
My 1995 sierra is a 1500 4x4, and has a 4-flat plug on the bumper. I saw blue and orange wires by the fuse relay block, and again taped in the wiring harness by the back bumper. Also , the seven blade plug I have plugs in to the 4-flat plug on my bumper...four wires come out of it (the wires I am inquiring about). A white ground wire, black - auxillary power aide, blue - electric brakes, and purple - reverse. I need to know how those wires attach, and how to wire the Activator under my dash.

OK this is not the simplest install and I always suggest if you are uncomfortable with wiring then go to a shop and have it done. Now the wires under the hood. The orange wire is the 12V aux. wire that feeds the 7-way(the round one). You don't really need that one but you may want to hook it up anyways. You should fuse the wire and run it to the positive side of the battery. A 30A fuse or even a circuit breaker would be great and can be found at most part stores. The blue wire is the wire you will be hooking up to the brake controller. To hook up the brake controller you will need to have 12V (from the battery or the ignition harness and make sure to fuse the wire 30A fuse.), A good chasis ground, stop light(found at the small switch attached to the brake petal), and the blue wire under the hood. The blue wire is the output of the brake controller that powers the trailer's brakes. You should run the blue wire through the firewall into the cab of the truck. The easiest way is to run through one of the rubber grommets with wires going in them. The blue wire goes to the blue wire of the brake controller. All the rest of the instructions can be found in the brake controllers installation guide. Good luck.
