in addition to the style benefit, there is also a performance benefit, the shorter the sidewall the better the car will corner.
I would agree that it will feel more responsive, but it may also be a bit harsher meaning the tires wheel not abosrb as much of the bumps in the road because there is less sidewall to collapse.
only other advise 17 inch SAAB wheel and tires are not suggested in snow conditions, will need snow tires, keep that in mind.
